Polytechnic University of Tomar (Portugal)

Polytechnic University of Tomar is a public higher education institution. Through innovative research, it aims at providing solutions to society’s challenges, guaranteeing that its graduates face workplace challenges by holding wide-ranging links with employers and business.

IPT’s structure holds three schools: a Management School, located in Tomar, and two Technology schools, one in Tomar and one in Abrantes.

Presently, about 3300 members are part of our academic community: 3000 students, 230 lecturers and 100 technical and administrative staff. IPT currently offers 17 Bachelor degrees, 14 Master degrees; 25 Higher National Diplomas, 14 Postgraduate Diplomas, all accredited by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) in study fields such as: Environmental related Studies, Management, Tourism, Design, Communication, Engineering, Technology, Arts and Heritage Conservation.

In the field of Cultural Heritage, the Higher National Diploma on Artistic Production for Conservation and Restoration encompasses craft-based activities, which are built mainly in studies of historical and artistic contexts, in studies of materials and techniques for craft art production and in the development of projects of craft art production for conservation and restoration using different techniques, through the stages of design, organization, production and dissemination.

Valahia University (Romania)

Valahia University is a modern university endowed with two brand new campuses in Targoviste and Alexandria, as well as spanking novel and innovative research, educational, and social facilities and, most importantly, the energy of a youthful and dynamic faculty, research, and student communities.

The university, which was founded 30 years ago on June 1, 1992, is Romania’s only higher education institution to have built an entirely new infrastructure from the ground up, providing a highly competitive and cutting-edge educational, research, social, and cultural environment. This is ideal for our programs’ forward-thinking orientation, which fully integrates us into the dynamics of a competitive global higher education market.

The modern amphitheatres, seminar rooms and high-tech labs of the faculties and the Scientific and Technological Multidisciplinary Research Institute are host of 7,500 students and 330 professors and researchers studying in Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences.

University of South Bohemia (Czech Republic)

Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích, (in English: University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice) is a modern public university located in České Budějovice, the Czech Republic. USB offers a unique experience in a broad range of study programmes. We educate nearly 9 000 students at 8 different faculties in more than 220 programmes including bachelor’s & master’s degrees as well as doctoral programmes. USB has 8 faculties: Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture.

USB is a top-quality science & research centre specialising in education and research in natural, human, health and social sciences. The USB proves its high standard by passing strict criteria of prestigious international rankings such as QS or THE. In the THE Young University Rankings 2020, the University of South Bohemia placed in the 201–250th place globally and in the 1st place in the context of higher education institutions from the Czech Republic.

D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (Bulgaria)

“D. A. Tsenov” Academy of Economics a leading economics and business higher education institution in Bulgaria with 85 years of history, more than 150 000 alumni and a well-established reputation in education, science and project management. It is composed of 4 faculties, 19 departments, a Scientific Research Institute, 17 academic centres and auxiliary units.

Three of the centres are focused on providing cultural, integration and socialisation services to foreign students – Centre for International Affairs, Euro-Arab Centre and Euro-Asian Centre. Two of the centres are focused on providing educational services to local and foreign students and citizens – Centre for distance learning and Centre for Vocational Training.

TAE employs more than 170 professors, associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers, annually teaching more than 6,000 Bulgarian and foreign students in all three study cycle of higher education (bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees). It offers full-time, part-time and distance-learning study in 18 Bachelor’s degree, 46 Master’s degree, and 16 Doctoral degree programmes in Economics, Business and Administration, 22 of which are delivered in foreign language.

Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University (Turkey)

Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University has made enormous strides in becoming an international university that focuses more on establishing cooperation with its counterparts both in the EU and non-EU countries. We make continuous efforts to increase our international visibility and to expand networks so as to be part of a global community with high standards.

Our internationalization strategy lies in expanding partnerships with our stakeholders both in the EU and the rest of the world with regard to student and staff mobility, curriculum development, knowledge alliances, capacity building, conducting joint researches, co-publishing, and establishing dual/joint degrees. Working in close collaboration with both its faculty members as well as Erasmus+ coordinators in each department, ATU has the success to be involved in several international mobility programmes: Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2, Mevlana Exchange Programme etc. Currently, ATU is collaborating with nearly 70 European universities from around 20 European programme countries within Erasmus + KA103 and 15 universities within Erasmus + KA107 from 13 partner countries.

At ATU, internationalization efforts are approved and monitored by the Senate and the university leadership with regard to fulfilling its internationalization goals. IRO staff is responsible for conducting all international mobilities. During project management period, an effective communication will be pursued with the each partner institution via phone calls, mutual correspondence, on site visits and monitoring visits. Furthermore, periodic project management meetings will be held in order to delegate task and roles among partners, divide the finance, share experiences and discuss the progress of the project.

Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University (Adana Alparslan Türkeş STU) is a relatively young higher education institution established in 2011 in Adana located in the south of Turkey and is the pivotal city incorporating industrial and agricultural activities in the region. Our university consists of 9 faculties, 1 school of foreign languages, 1 institute of social sciences, 1 institute of natural & applied sciences, 1 continuing education center supporting lifelong learning and a Turkish Language Education Center that helps our international students gain an insight into Turkish language and culture during their study period.

Historical Trnava University (Slovakia)

Historical Trnava University represents one of the oldest universities in Slovakia. Trnava University was established by Cardinal Peter Pázmaň in 1635 and consisted at that time of four faculties (colleges) of: theology, arts, law and medicine. It existed for 142 years and in 1777, it was moved to Buda.

The National Council of the Slovak Republic re-established Trnava University on March 25, 1992 pursuant to Act No. 191/1992 and reopened it on July 1, 1992 as a first higher education institution with non-Marxist background. Currently, the University consists of 5 faculties: Faculty of Health Care and Social Work, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Arts.

Trnava University professes principles of the Great Charter of European Universities protecting complete independence of universities from the political and economic power and their freedom to perform research and education. Trnava University advocates Christian principles, wants to protect moral and spiritual values, provide education in the spirit of ecumenism, cooperate with universities, pedagogical and scientific institutes in the Slovak Republic and abroad. Trnava University represents a concentration of resources of science and education, as well as professional expertise of people based on traditional values, which is an important factor of development and a center of enhancement of cultural, political, economic and social life in Trnava and its territory. Its mission is mainly fulfilled within the framework of targeted international, cross-border, regional and European Union cooperation.

The University of Camerino (Italy)

The University of Camerino was founded in 1336, currently hosting 378 academics, 269 technical-administrative staff and about 7,000 students. It hosts 29-degree courses, master’s degrees, and single-cycle degrees, and more than 200 students enrolled in 5 doctoral courses, as well as about 800 students enrolled in other post-graduate courses: masters, specialization, improvement.

UNICAM’s historical seat is in the city of Camerino, taking on the role as a “city campus university”. However, UNICAM is present in further venues, in the cities of Matelica, Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto, equipped with its own scientific and educational structures. The academic organization is based on five Schools: Architecture and Design (based in Ascoli Piceno), Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine (main site in Camerino, with satellite sites in Matelica and San Benedetto del Tronto), Law (Camerino), Pharmaceutical and Health Product Sciences (Camerino), Sciences and Technologies (Camerino with further activities in Ascoli Piceno).

The University is characterized by a wide and diversified educational offer, with numerous courses designed to create interdisciplinary connections, starting from the three fundamental dimensions of knowledge present in it (humanities, scientific-technological and design) and from a research and technology transfer activity that makes increasingly advanced tools for controlling factors of complexity available to society, the world of work and production. The quality of scientific research and training activities is constantly pursued to confirm and strengthen the role of UNICAM in the European Research Area (ERA) and Higher Education (EHEA), to contribute to the economic and social development of the country and the reference territory.
