Key Project Team face-to-face meeting – 07/09 February 2024 | Svishtov, Bulgaria

The HERITAGE GAME – ‘A gamification model for community-based heritage work’ (2023-1-PT01-KA220-HED-000154261) project team, co-funded by the European Union and led by IPT, met in person for the first time in Svishtov, Bulgaria, on 7-9 February 2024. The project proposes gamification as an innovative strategy applied to heritage in low density areas and is a partnership between the Polytechnic University of Tomar (Portugal), the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (Bulgaria), the Valahia University of Targoviste (Romania), the University of South Bohemia České Budějovice (Czech Republic), the University of Trnava (Slovakia), the University of Camerino (Italy) and the Adana Science and Technology University (Turkey). The meeting was attended by all partners.
Our focus today includes key updates on the project management platform, ensuring it continues to support our workflow effectively. We’ll also discuss the roles and contributions of the Steering Committee and MET members, emphasizing their pivotal role in guiding project milestones. An overview of recent and upcoming meetings will be shared to align schedules and expectations. Finally, we will review the submission process and progress for the periodical reports, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met to maintain transparency and accountability. Let’s ensure we stay on track with these critical elements.
The successful implementation of our project relies on the coordinated efforts of several core teams. The Steering Committee (SC) plays a central role in providing strategic direction and decision-making support. Complementing this, the Monitoring and Evaluation Team (MET) ensures that project objectives are tracked and assessed effectively. The Financial Team (FT) oversees budget management and financial compliance, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately. Meanwhile, the Quality Control Team (QCT) is dedicated to maintaining high standards across all deliverables. Finally, the Key Project Team (KPT) serves as the operational backbone, driving daily activities and fostering collaboration among all groups. Together, these teams are pivotal to the project’s success.
A MICROSOFT TEAMS was created, and the contacts had been already added. This will be our working platform and all relevant documents should be stored here for WP tasks and activities. The steering Committee will supervise project implementation and direction: handling risks and taking decisions impacting activities at project level, taking responsibility on project implementation in front of the Managing Board, ensuring overall transparency and correctness of financial expenditure, quality of deliverables and activities, and achievement of expected goals. The SC will meet every 6 months, or by request of the Financial Officer for urgent matters. This body will be composed by 1 member for each partner, holding the right to vote, and 4 members without voting rights.
